CCTST Pilot, Community Health Grants Announced

The CCTST has awarded over $694,000 in grants to enable collaborative clinical and translational research projects across the Academic Health Center and in the community.

The Pilot Translational Research Grant Program provided nearly $596,000 for 8 translational research grants to established investigators and 2 mentored translational research grants for new and early stage investigators.   Of the 10 awards of up to $60,000, 6 were to Cincinnati Children’s and 4 to UC (including 1 on west campus).  A total of 41 letters of intent and 25 full applications were received.  View table

Community Health Grants totaling $74,186 were awarded to 6 academic-community research teams to improve health outcomes in children, adults and/or communities.  View table 

In addition, 5 academic-community teams received Partnership Development Grants totaling $24,400 to develop or strengthen collaborations.  View table

To date, 64 Community Health Grants totaling $587,686 have been awarded to research teams including 65 different community organizations, leveraging over $5 million in new grants and initiatives, and serving over 9,000 individuals.
