Public Symposium on Ohio Opioid Crisis: Video Available
Betty Tai, PhD, director of the Center for Clinical Trials Network of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), was the keynote speaker for the public symposium Tackling the Ohio Opioid Crisis: Harnessing the Power of Science to Break the Cycle, November 27 in Kresge Auditorium, UC MSB. Presented by UC and UC Health, the event was sponsored by the CCTST and National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network—Ohio Valley Node.
Dr. Tai’s keynote addressed NIDA's perspective on the Collision of Pain and Opioid Epidemics. The symposium also featured insights on the opioid crisis from across Ohio, including researchers and clinicians discussing some of the latest research on opioid use disorder and where further research is needed.
