Objectives:


1. The ethical responsibilities and legal statutes for mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect within the context of clinical practice and research will be reviewed.
 

2. For abuse and neglect cases that are reported, the likely course of action employed by CCHMC’s Protective Services providers will be delineated.


3. The impact of mandated reporting on recruitment and retention in the context of research will be discussed.
